We're gonna party like it's 1952

Next year in June we will be celebrating the Queen's 60 years on the throne. Yes, sixty years. That sounds like a good excuse for a knees up!

We have had one public meeting to discuss what we'd like to do in Swineshead to celebrate. We decided to .... have another meeting. I know, I know. If you want to make this one count, show up and share ideas. Stuff we have thought of so far:

• old fashioned street parties
• fancy dress
• getting local businesses on board
• cake competition
• display of old photos
• party in the park
• putting a plaque on the Jubilee Oak
• singalong old stylee
